Professor Tuğba Kuru Çolak

Professor Tuğba Kuru Çolak completed her Ph.D. in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Istanbul University in 2012 and received her Master’s degree in the same field from Istanbul University in 2008. She earned her undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from Istanbul University.

Professor Kuru Çolak has been working at Marmara University for 14 years and is currently a Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Throughout her academic career, she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in orthopaedic rehabilitation, scoliosis rehabilitation, and electrotherapy.

Her main academic and clinical area of expertise is scoliosis rehabilitation, and she completed her doctoral studies in this field. She is also a Schroth Best Practice Instructor and an experienced clinician in the conservative treatment of scoliosis.

Before joining academia, Professor Kuru Çolak worked as a physiotherapist in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Istanbul. Her research and clinical interests focus particularly on scoliosis, conservative treatment approaches, and rehabilitation in musculoskeletal disorders.
